Terms & Conditions
I am aware that a range of practical activities of varied intensities may form a necessary part of the program and there may be associated risks. Any medical conditions, allergies or relevant health information must be raised and made known to Miss Lianne or the teacher upon registration. Students participate at their own risk. Parents/guardians must ensure students are fit to take part.
A term normally consists of 10 weeks. Fees are due on the first day of term. Scale of fees can refer to the academy timetable. One reminder of fees payment will be given out on the third week of term. Special arrangements for payment are negotiable if agreed in advance.
No refunds in any kind of fees (including term fee, exam fee and extra lessons fee) can be awarded except through illness when a doctor’s certificate must be produced. Partial refunds or credits may be offered at the Principal’s discretion in exceptional circumstances.
If a private lesson is booked, 48 hours notice of cancellation must be given or lesson fee is chargeable to cover hall costs and teacher’s time wasted. Cancellations due to illness or emergencies must be communicated as soon as possible.
Half a term notice in advance is required in writing to the Principal of the academy for any students wishing to discontinue any classes or leave the academy. Failure to do so will cause a term fee to be payable in lieu.
During unforeseen or special circumstances, dance classes may be cancelled. It may be necessary at times to make changes to the timetables. Where possible, replacement classes will be arranged and communicated in advance.
The academy reserves the rights to take further actions to the student who is absent for two weeks or more from the dance classes. No refunds on the remaining fees will be given and a term fee is chargeable if the student is leaving, whether with or without notice in writing.
Parent or guardian is responsible for taking care of their own child in the buildings. Please do not allow young children to leave unattended or behave in a disruptive way outside the dance lessons time.
Punctuality to send and pick up the students for dance classes is vital. The academy accepts no responsibility for the parent or guardian who picks up their children late.
To enable all students to learn in a good environment, the academy reserves the rights to expel students from any dance classes if they behave badly, disruptively or for any other serious misconduct after due warning. This may be done without notice or refunds.
The academy does not accept any loss or damage to property left in the premises, or in the car park. Students attend at their own risk and the Academy is not liable for any personal injury sustained.
The clean, tidy and correct dance attires must be worn during all the dance classes. We reserve the rights to withdraw any students who do not wear the correct attires more than 2 lessons. For health and safety purposes, strictly no jewellery is allowed. Uniforms list is available at our website.
Dance exams will be arranged by the Principal. The academy staff reserve the right to decide and enter a student who has reached the required exam standard. Candidates are expected to take extra lessons during their exam term.
Students invited to take part in performances or festivals must adhere to the academy performance rules. Photography and video may be taken during dance classes, performances and festivals for promotional purposes, and parental/guardian consent is required.
Parents or guardians are invited to watch on the Open Day of the academy which falls on the every last week of term. Viewing of private lessons, extra lessons or other dance classes during term time is by invitation/request only. Video and photography can be taken with permission only.
